On Saturday October 3rd, the SigEps of Tennessee Kappa held a chapter retreat. This retreat was a little different than your standard retreat as it took place at the university. The brothers had breakfast in a conference room at the University Center and met to discuss chapter goals for the academic year and next fall. Brother Blake Evans, who joined the chapter a few weeks before the retreat, said “It was a great experience for me, to learn about how the chapter operates and getting to spend time with brothers that wasn’t interrupted by class.” After the retreat the brothers spent the last of the daylight hours picking up trash on a two mile stretch of Skyhawk parkway that the chapter has adopted. It may sound like a tedious job, but the group of brothers there filled several bags with litter in no time and showed that SigEp cares about the school, the environment, and the community, and making a positive impact.
