The Tennessee Kappa Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon is known for promoting Diligence in every aspect of the fraternity. Fittingly, it was hard work and diligence that garnered two second place finishes for the brotherhood.
Monday night, the brothers of Tennessee Kappa closed out the fraternity division of the Line Dance competition. SigEp took to the Skyhawk Fieldhouse court with little fanfare, but the crowd erupted as “Real Big” by Big Tymers blasted through the arena.
Tennessee Kappa congratulates the brothers of Phi Beta Sigma for putting on a great show. Kappa is equally as proud of our second place finish ahead of Alpha Tau Omega.
The event that defines the raw emotion associated with Greekfest is the Stepshow competition. With pride on the line, SigEp looked to turn back the tides of disappointment from the last two showings. Having honed their show, putting in long hours at the chapter house night after night, this squad was bound for greatness.
Brothers Rodel Cacas and Phillip Bohrman squared off in a symbolic boxing to open the show, leading right into “Let’s Go” by Trick Daddy and the rest of the performers taking the stage.
In the end, SigEp hoisted the second place trophy. The night would go to Kappa Alpha Order, but it is a point of pride for Tennessee Kappa to return to the ranks of Stepshow royalty. We would like to thank the outpouring of support following our accomplishment, and express our gratitude to those that cheered us on.
